A physical gallery that needed a digital space to match

Gallery Twenty Twenty represents some of the most significant names in contemporary and mid-century furniture design — Gaetano Pesce, Joris Laarman, Gio Ponti, Shiro Kuramata. The physical space in Alexandria is considered, minimal, and calibrated to let the work speak. A web presence befitting the gallery was needed.

A gallery platform built around curation, not just cataloguing

The brief was clear from the first conversation: the site needed to feel like the gallery. That meant restraint in the design, precision in the typography, and images given the space to do the work.

We built the platform on Craft CMS, which gave the gallery team full editorial control without forcing them into rigid templates. Each artist has a portfolio page managed entirely by the gallery — biography, selected works, exhibition history, and upcoming availability. Works entries are rich content objects: multiple images, dimensions, provenance, edition information, and availability status, all manageable without developer involvement.

Artist portfolios & works catalogue
Each artist has a dedicated portfolio with biography and full works listing. The catalogue supports filtering by artist, availability, and medium, with high-resolution image galleries for every piece.
Private client project portal
Registered clients — interior designers, architects, collectors — can log in to view works curated specifically for their projects and submit enquiries.
Exhibition management
Current and upcoming exhibitions are managed through the CMS with opening dates, featured artists, and associated works. Past exhibitions are archived and remain browsable.
Enquiry & appointment booking
Every work and artist page has a contextual enquiry form. Appointment requests go directly to the gallery team with the relevant work or artist pre-populated, removing the back-and-forth of unstructured email.

The gallery's digital presence is a great companion for its physical one

The site successfully launched to coincide with the gallery opening.

The CMS has given the gallery full independence. New works, new artists, exhibition updates — all managed in-house without needing a developer involved.
