Off-the-shelf software gets a growing business most of the way. The last part, the way you actually quote, schedule and deliver, is where custom software pays for itself.
Since 2003 I've built that last part for Perth businesses: importers, distributors, trades, industrial service companies, professional firms and not-for-profits. Most have somewhere between 10 and 50 people, and a handful of spreadsheets that have quietly become the most important system in the building.
I turn those spreadsheets and manual steps into one web application your whole team can use from the office, the warehouse or a phone on site. It connects to the tools you already pay for, so information is entered once and shows up everywhere it's needed.
Because I keep my client list small, you get the same developer from the first workshop through to support years later. Everything is written here in WA and hosted on Australian servers.

Do you meet clients across Perth?
Yes. My office is in Fremantle, and I'm happy to visit you anywhere in the metro area, from the CBD and Joondalup to Midland, Canning Vale, Kwinana and Rockingham. Seeing your team at work is the best way to plan the software.
Why hire a solo Perth developer instead of an agency?
You talk directly to the person designing and writing your software, so nothing gets lost between a salesperson, a project manager and a developer you never meet. Overheads are lower, decisions are quicker and the knowledge of your system doesn't walk out the door when staff change.
What happens if you're unavailable?
Your code is written in common, well-documented technology and stored in a repository you own. Hosting, backups and documentation are set up so another developer could pick it up if needed.
Can you take over or rebuild an existing system?
Often, yes. I can review an old database, a spreadsheet-based system or an app left behind by a previous developer, keep it running while we plan, then move your data into a modern web application in stages.
How do you price a project?
We start with a free discovery meeting, then I write up the scope and give you a fixed price for it. Small, focused tools are usually in the low thousands, and full business systems are a larger investment that's often spread over stages. Hosting and support are a predictable monthly fee.
Do you work with not-for-profits and government?
Yes. I've built portals and databases used by not-for-profits, associations and local government organisations, including member surveys, volunteer reporting and benchmarking tools.
